Placements24 is seeking an exceptional Director of Performance Analytics to lead a remote-based team of analysts, data scientists and researchers shaping the future of athletic performance across sports.

You will develop advanced analytics frameworks, manage large datasets, collaborate with scientists and coaches, drive innovation, present insights to clients, and guide strategic direction while ensuring data integrity in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Sports Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• 10+ years in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the sports industry.
• Proven expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
• Deep understanding of sports performance metrics and biomechanics.
• Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Experience working with large datasets and various analytical software/platforms (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable business and performance insights.
• Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple high-profile projects.
• Experience with client management and relationship building.
