Job Summary

The Director of Nursing will oversee the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents, ensuring compliance with physician orders and residents' needs. The facility is a 5-star, deficiency-free survey site.

The Director will supervise 24-hour Nursing Services, maintaining quality standards per federal, state, and company regulations. In the absence of the Administrator, the Director will assume operational responsibilities. The role includes conducting the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act.

Principal Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive care plans for each resident, complying with physician's orders, regulations, and policies.
• Communicate policies and monitor staff practices.
• Participate in admissions decisions and visit prospective residents.
• Attend management meetings to discuss resident status, census, personnel, and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the practicing state.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Preferably five years in long-term or acute care; at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
