Senior Vice President, Content Delivery & Higher Education Strategy

Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to assume the SVP, Content Delivery & Higher Education Strategy role. This position will oversee the end-to-end development of online courses for LearningMate, focusing on the strategic direction and financial performance of our higher education vertical.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing complex projects and teams in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively influence and guide cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership & Financial Management: Develop and execute the strategic vision and financial plans for the higher education vertical, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. This includes budget management, financial forecasting, and performance analysis. Collaborate with finance and relevant stakeholders on operational risk, utilization, escalations, and resource allocation.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with various internal teams to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives. This involves effective communication, collaboration, and coordination across departments. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  3. Higher Education Market Expertise: Liaise with research teams and senior management to maintain a deep understanding of the higher education landscape, market trends, and competitive dynamics. Leverage this knowledge to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation within the higher education vertical.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Collaborate with existing client relationship managers to maintain and cultivate strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Provide guidance and support to client-facing teams.
  5. Business Development Support: Provide support to sales and business development teams in presales activities, including presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential clients. Collaborate with team leaders on effective sales strategies.
  6. Regional Oversight: Provide strategic guidance and support to regional teams. Collaborate with regional leaders to ensure effective operations and alignment with company-wide goals.
  7. People Leadership (Indirect): This role requires strong leadership skills to effectively influence, mentor, and guide individuals and teams across various departments to achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
  2. 20+ years of experience in the edtech industry or a related field, with a proven track record of success in developing and delivering online courses.
  3. Significant experience in strategic planning, financial management, and business development within the higher education sector.
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  5. Exceptional leadership skills including mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
  6. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
