BDO is seeking a Risk Advisory Services Director (Mining Sector Specialist) in Johannesburg (Illovo) to lead strategic initiatives, manage client relationships, and oversee delivery of risk management and internal audit solutions.

The role requires a visionary leader with deep technical expertise, strong business acumen and at least 12 years in risk advisory/internal audit, including 5 years in a leadership role. Mining and telecom experience is valued.

Qualifikationen

• Honours degree in internal audit, accounting or finance.
• CIA or equivalent qualification.
• CISA added advantage.
• Minimum 12 years in risk advisory/internal audit with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Mining and Telecommunications industry exposure.

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategies to expand the Risk Advisory Services practice.
• Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor on governance, risk management, compliance and internal audit matters.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure adherence to risk frameworks and regulatory standards while managing budgets and timelines.
• Team Development: Mentor and develop high-performing teams.
• Business Development: Identify new market opportunities and lead client portfolio growth.
