Director : Fundraising, Marketing and CommunicationThe Management Programme of Badisa invites suitably qualified candidates with the necessary experience to apply for this inspiring and strategic career opportunity.

We are looking for a passionate and proven fundraising leader to join our senior team.

This role is critical to the long-term sustainability of Badisa and will focus on growing and diversifying income through strategic fundraising, partnership building, and donor engagement.

The successful candidate will form part of the senior leadership team and support the CEO in achieving the organisation's mission through effective income generation, brand positioning, and stakeholder engagement.ORGANISATIONAL BACKGROUNDBadisa is a church-based social services organisation affiliated with the Dutch Reformed Church (Western and Southern Cape) and the Uniting Reformed Church in Southern Africa (Cape Synod).

The organisation offers community-based social services—regardless of race, gender, nationality, or religion.

Badisa's programmes include services for children and families, older persons, people with disabilities, and those affected by substance abuse, ranging from professional social work to residential care.The Director : Fundraising, Marketing and Communication will play a critical role in building awareness, securing income, and advancing the organisation's sustainability agenda.RESPONSIBILITIESWorking closely with the CEO, Management Team, and local programme structures, the Director will be responsible for : Leading the development and implementation of an integrated fundraising, marketing and communication strategy and accompanying budget;Driving income growth through innovative campaigns, donor cultivation, partnerships and stakeholder engagement, inclusive of high-net-worth individuals, corporate social investment (CSI) engagement, grant writing for foundations and government support, and recurring donor programmes and legacy giving;Develop and implement fundraising strategies for individual donors, corporate donors and bequests;Compile annual fundraising targets and monitor performance against these targets to measure fundraising effectiveness;Build and strengthen donor relationships by personal contact, regular communication and relevant stories of hope to illustrate the impact of the work of Badisa;Establishing and maintaining an accurate donor, partner, and volunteer involvement database;Providing support, guidance and capacity building to local programmes and internal teams;Keeping abreast of sector developments, legislation and communication trends;Supporting the CEO in public relations, reputation management and brand building;Management of employees within the Fundraising, Marketing and Communication Department;Management of external service providers where required.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSMinimum of 5 years' experience in welfare or corporate fundraising / marketing, with a proven track record of results and innovation;Demonstrated success in developing and executing a cohesive fundraising and brand strategy;Strong budgeting, planning, and financial monitoring skills;Detail knowledge of relevant digital platforms;Proven ability to work with donor / stakeholder databases and all relevant digital platforms;Experience in engaging diverse stakeholders and networks;Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills;A valid driver's licence, own transport and willingness to work evenings / weekends as requiredPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTESStrategic and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills;Motivated team player with a passion for social development;Able to operate independently and collaboratively in a complex environment;Culturally sensitive and committed to the values of a faith-based NGO;Bilingual in Afrikaans and English; isiXhosa proficiency will be an advantage.We offer a negotiable remuneration package as well as generous leave benefits.Please address a Letter of Motivation and comprehensive CV, including at least three contactable references, in electronic format, to
