Job summary

MyCareerCraft is seeking an experienced Head of Financial Advisors to lead our Financial Planning practice in Sandton. You will be the day-to-day leader, driving team performance, ensuring high-quality advice, and coordinating with administration hubs to maintain capacity and service levels.

This role focuses on leadership, technical oversight across retirement and investments, and maintaining compliant, well-documented advice.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance or related field; CFP preferred.
• FAIS fit-and-proper status and regulatory exams.
• Proven leadership of professional client-facing teams.
• Experience recruiting advisers and assessing cultural fit.
• Operational experience improving service delivery in advisory or para-planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and performance-manage Financial Planners; oversee Administration and Para-planning capacity, workflow, and quality; recruit, on-board, and exits where needed.
• Provide technical oversight across retirement, investments, risk/insurance, tax, estate planning, and employee benefits; ensure advice is compliant and well-documented.
• Handle escalated client matters; partner with investment consulting, retirement, compliance, and operations teams; remove operational friction so planners can focus on clients.
• Convert strategic intent into practical plans with clear owners and milestones; lead change initiatives with genuine team buy-in and adoption.
