What You'll Be Doing:

Title: Director, Strategic Finance

Location: Remote Position, Washington D.C. Metro Area Preferred

Evolent seeks a Director of Strategic Finance to lead financial analyses supporting long-term growth and performance. This role requires a seasoned professional with a background in strategy or consulting, strong financial modeling skills, and excellent communication. Reporting to the SVP of Enterprise Finance, you'll collaborate with CFO, Deputy CFO, and other leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Long-Term Financial Planning & Modeling: Develop and maintain a dynamic three-statement model to forecast performance, collaborating with FP&A, Treasury, and Accounting. Partner with leaders to align financial plans with corporate goals through quarterly reviews.
  2. Corporate Performance Management: Work with senior leadership to align financial goals with strategy. Monitor key metrics, analyze trends, and provide insights to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  3. Strategic Financial Analysis: Lead analysis for strategic initiatives like M&A and investments. Support decision-making with data-driven insights on costs, investments, and product strategies.
  4. Executive Financial Reporting & Presentations: Prepare reports and presentations for Board meetings, executive reviews, and investor calls. Clearly communicate financial results and strategic initiatives.

  • Manage multiple priorities and drive deliverables efficiently.
  • Review work of team members, providing guidance on analyses and diligence.
  • Foster organized, proactive communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail.
  • Leverage analytical skills to develop insights and synthesize information.
  • Communicate effectively with executive leaders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in finance, strategy, or management consulting, focusing on financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario planning
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts like accounting and forecasting
  • Leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Healthcare industry experience or healthcare financial analysis
  • Knowledge of healthcare trends, regulations, and market dynamics
Technical Requirements:

High-speed internet (>10 Mbps) and direct connection capability to the home router are required. These requirements may change with office reopenings.
