Position: Director, Clinical Programs

Program: Secure Residential and Respite

Description of Programs:

  • Secure Residential: Operates three locked residential homes for adults with severe mental health challenges, providing psychiatric treatment, personal care, skills training, and case management.
  • Respite: Offers voluntary, supportive short-term care in a relaxed environment, including meals, activities, and on-site support.

Position Overview: Responsible for overseeing clinical model development, business growth, community relations, program operations, staffing, financial planning, risk management, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage services to ensure clinical excellence and financial viability.
  • Support and train staff to operationalize treatment models.
  • Develop procedures supporting program goals.
  • Determine staffing needs, recruit, hire, and train staff with an emphasis on diversity and cultural competence.
  • Collaborate with medical leadership on staffing and treatment approaches.
  • Oversee training in Seclusion, Restraint, and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Manage budgets and monitor expenses.
  • Lead quality improvement activities.
  • Provide leadership to staff, fostering team-building and morale.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and participate in community meetings.
  • Ensure client rights, professional boundaries, and ethical standards.
  • Assist in crisis situations following protocols.
  • Comply with abuse reporting laws and HIPAA.
  • Engage in collaborative opportunities and complete mandatory training.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in behavioral sciences from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible for QMHP credentialing.
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience, including two years post-Master's.
  • Three years supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to conduct mental health assessments, understand recovery models, provide training, and operate computer systems effectively. Valid driver’s license required.

Core Competencies: Leadership, supervision, interpersonal skills, decision-making, and conflict resolution.

Work Conditions: Work in residential/supportive housing settings; travel required for meetings.

Mental Demands: Manage variable workflow, prioritize activities.

Physical Demands: Assist in volatile situations to ensure safety.
