Role Overview

The Southern Africa team is seeking a Marketing Director to lead our consumer and business strategy, focusing on innovation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the consumer journey, creating cardholder value, highly motivated, curious, analytical, and entrepreneurial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing programs to increase Mastercard card issuance and usage, including incentives, relationships, and communication activities.
  • Leverage sponsorships and platforms across PR and promotions for maximum impact.
  • Develop marketing intelligence to create valued and differentiating programs, establishing Mastercard as a preferred business resource.
  • Lead execution of segmented marketing strategies (B2B and B2C), including advertising, promotions, and sponsorships.
  • Contribute to go-to-market plans, leveraging consumer insights.
  • Identify segment needs to develop consumer marketing campaigns.
  • Measure program performance and develop metrics for tracking.
  • Manage marketing budget to ensure campaigns stay within allocations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
