Job description

The Digital Workplace Consultant (Power Platforms)plays a pivotal role in delivering modern workplace solutions that enhance collaboration, productivity, and digital transformation for clients. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform, CoPilot and related technologies. The consultant will be responsible for analysing business needs, designing solutions, configuring environments, and supporting user adoption and training.

This position is open to candidates based in Johannesburg, Midrand, Durban or Cape Town

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into modern workplace solutions.
  • Design, implement, and configure Microsoft 365 solutions, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Viva.
  • Develop and customize Power Platform applications (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to automate business processes.
  • Conduct discovery workshops, solution design sessions, and user training.
  • Assist in data and document migrations to SharePoint Online or Microsoft Teams.
  • Create functional and technical documentation for solutions.
  • Provide post-implementation support, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams, business analysts, and project managers to deliver successful engagements.
  • Stay up to date with new Microsoft features, releases, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in delivering digital workplace or Microsoft Modern Work solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups).
  • Proven experience as a Power Platform Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI solutions.
  • Experience with intranet portals, content management, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site configuration, and administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security, compliance, and governance features
  • Experience with integrating Power Platform solutions with other Microsoft products (e.g., SharePoint, Teams) and third-party applications.
  • Ability to gather business requirements, document user stories, and design user-centric solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft 365 or Power Platform certifications (e.g., MS-600, PL-100, PL-200).
  • Experience with third-party migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, AvePoint)
  • Exposure to Microsoft Viva and Copilot Studio
