Role Overview :

Our Cape Town office is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Strategist to join our dynamic team. If you’re a creative visionary with a passion for analyzing data, mastering digital channels, and shaping exceptional consumer journeys, this role is for you. You will drive innovative strategies that push the boundaries of digital marketing and e-commerce, inspiring creative teams and impacting our clients positively. We are looking for someone passionate about digital trends, channels, tech, tools, research, and data-driven insights.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Leadership :

  • Drive strategic digital thinking within the agency and with clients.
  • Understand our clients, their businesses, objectives, and brands deeply.
  • Present to digitally savvy C-suite clients, leading discussions that build trust and establish the agency’s thought leadership.
  • Be the agency's go-to expert for digital insights and recommendations.
  • Lead digital innovation by staying ahead of new trends and developments.
  • Proactively develop strategies, measurement plans, and proposals that add value for both teams and clients.

Strategic Work :

  • Deliver comprehensive reports, research, analysis, audits, planning, pitches, and strategy presentations to help teams and clients achieve their goals.
  • Develop digital strategies at both brand and campaign levels, including behavior analysis, customer personas, segmentation, online consumer journeys, channel recommendations, and landscape analysis.
  • Create insights from social media listening, website evaluations, usability reviews, and channel planning, including SEO and launch plans.
  • Add value and recommendations to existing consumer and brand strategies to develop personalized marketing strategies that enhance customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Produce work across various platforms, including websites, apps, e-commerce platforms, SEO, social media, content, influencer marketing, direct marketing, eCRM, and performance marketing.
  • Conduct regular competitor, industry, trend, and digital landscape reviews to keep strategies cutting-edge and competitive.

Output Management :

  • Lead and collaborate with teams to develop and implement innovative digital marketing and channel strategies that deliver tangible business results.
  • Work closely with Clients, Client Service, and Creative teams to ensure effective strategy execution and provide strategic direction when needed.
  • Simplify complex ideas to ensure clear alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and stakeholders, such as paid media agencies, for seamless collaboration.
  • Review departmental outputs regularly to maintain the effectiveness of channels, tools, and campaigns.
  • Keep the agency and leads informed about industry innovations, changes, and collaboration opportunities.
