Job description

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

  • Leverage data insights, trends, and brand knowledge to develop digital strategies, including social media, websites, videos, podcasts, and email campaigns for assigned clients. Focuses on project-based work and supports always-on strategies like content planning.
  • Work closely with creative leads and account directors to bring innovative ideas, identify synergies, and strategic opportunities for existing clients.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve work and drive better results collaboratively.
  • Build trust with clients by bringing trends, ideas, and innovation into strategic discussions.
  • Support leadership and creative teams on new business pitches as needed.

Trends:

  • Research, source, and introduce new digital trends to DENTSU CREATIVE, focusing on formats, platforms, and content channels.
  • Create and distribute trend reports to educate and upskill staff and clients on new platforms and techniques.
  • Build relationships with platform representatives in South Africa.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Review reports for assigned accounts, work with editors to refine reports, and implement insights and recommendations to optimize content.
  • Regularly review KPIs to ensure objectives are met or exceeded, demonstrating measurable ROI.

Team Management:

  • Manage junior strategists as required.
  • Develop team skills and processes for digital strategy delivery.
  • Mentor team members, help manage their projects, and motivate them to push their thinking.
  • Mentor and develop interns within Dentsu Creative, ensuring their internship is challenging and rewarding, with the goal of retaining them.

Growth and Upskilling:

  • Develop a skills development plan in collaboration with leadership to address training and coaching needs.
  • Encourage and facilitate exposure to the wider dentsu cross-agency business where possible.
