Job Title: Digital Qualitative Project Manager

Location: MMR Research Durban

Department: Qualitative Research

About the Role:

We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and passionate individual to join our Global Project Management Team as a Digital Qualitative Project Manager, based in Durban. This desk-based role is a vital link between suppliers and qualitative practitioners at MMR, ensuring our digital qualitative projects are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.

You will be part of the wider Global Qual Team and will gain exposure to powerful methodologies across diverse research challenges. The role specializes in digital methodologies such as MROCs, Virtual Focus Groups / IDIs, while also providing opportunities to work with a dynamic global project management team. As part of our growth trajectory, we seek someone who can contribute to and support this expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Overseeing the project management of digital projects
  2. Scheduling and conducting internal kick-off calls
  3. Drafting timelines and designing screeners
  4. Preparing commissioning and briefing documents (internal and external)
  5. Arranging project logistics and checking participant profiles
  6. Liaising with suppliers and managing project financials (costing, invoicing, post-mortems)
  7. Programming digital projects, loading task guides, and scheduling activities
  8. Responding to participant, client, or supplier queries to ensure smooth project execution
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • 2-3 years’ experience in qualitative market research
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize effectively
  • Proven people management experience
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
  • Interest or experience with MROC platforms and the role of technology in qualitative research
