Digital Marketing Manager (Fashion / Retail) – Johannesburg.
A leading fashion retail brand is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager, a hands-on, creative, and agile individual who will lead the charge in amplifying their digital presence and brand impact.
This is a dynamic, people-first business with a lean, close-knit team, where culture fit, collaboration, and a flair for creative problem-solving are just as important as technical skills.
You will take ownership of digital campaigns, lead brand storytelling, manage social media engagement, and bring fresh concepts to the table — all while ensuring digital strategies are fully aligned with business goals.
Salary: R30 000 – R35 000 per month.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and own transport (non-negotiable)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 1–2 years’ experience in digital marketing, social media, or related roles — preferably within the retail or fashion industry
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, agile environments, especially within small, collaborative teams
- Naturally proactive and confident in leading initiatives without being prompted
- A creative, trend-aware thinker with strong ideation and campaign development skills
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a vibrant, engaging personality
- High level of cultural fit — energetic, full of ideas, and able to positively influence team direction
- Proficiency in major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)
- Basic knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook Ads, SEO/SEM, and digital performance reporting (KPIs, ROI)
- Skilled in content creation — copywriting, editing, and basic visual design (Canva, MS Office)
- Familiar with event planning and brand activations (e.g., store launches, CSI initiatives)
- Flexible to travel and work extended hours when needed
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and execute digital marketing strategies that reflect brand values and voice
- Oversee social media advertising campaigns and measure performance
- Create visually compelling and engaging multi-format content (photos, videos, copy)
- Grow and manage online communities with consistent engagement
- Collaborate with influencers to increase reach and awareness
- Monitor social media sentiment, respond to customer queries and comments
- Handle digital customer service touchpoints
- Perform ongoing SEO, SEM, and digital channel analytics
- Compile and present reports on digital performance, ROI, and campaign effectiveness
- Plan and manage key marketing events, including Black Friday and store launches
- Bring new ideas, creative input, and improvements to digital initiatives
- Ensure all digital content stays on-brand and aligned with business objectives
- Work closely with other departments to drive unified messaging and campaigns
