Job description

Are you innovative and passionate about current trends and creating digital marketing campaigns? African Ambition is looking to hire a digital marketing manager to support the marketing team in effectively promoting its message across all digital channels. On a daily basis, they will manage African Ambition's social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and create email blast campaigns to target key customers.

Objectives of this role

  1. Plan, execute, and manage all digital marketing including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
  2. Establish and execute a digital marketing strategy to distribute content.
  3. Work with and manage a team of writers, marketers, and other stakeholders to maintain digital presence.
  4. Maintain consistent brand messaging across all social channels.
  5. Identify, analyse, and measure trends and content to assess how well it's performing and optimize user experience.
  6. Create and maintain an editorial calendar to deliver targeted content.

Responsibilities

  1. Create and manage content for social media, emails, and other forms of digital communication.
  2. Research, track, and analyse consumer behaviours and trends and implement research into digital marketing campaigns.
  3. Prepare reports and analytics on the overall performance of various marketing campaigns, including ROIs and KPIs.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies and marketing techniques.
  5. Develop and monitor campaign budgets.

Preferred qualifications

  1. In-depth knowledge of current digital trends.
  2. 3 years experience in digital marketing, or a related field.
  3. Proficiency in photo and video editing software.
  4. Experience with SEO and SEM strategy and keyword research.
  5. Understanding of website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.
  6. Analytical mind, with a passion for measuring data.
  7. Strong project management and managerial skills.
  8. Ability to analyse consumer metrics, reports, and trends.
