Job description

SUMMARY :

A Chemical Manufacturing company based on the East Rand has a vacancy for a Digital Marketing & Content Controller. The main purpose of this role is to optimize online marketing campaigns to ensure customer engagement.

The responsibilities include planning, maintaining, executing, and optimizing online marketing efforts for the company brand. The role also involves creating, editing, and posting online content using various electronic devices and tools across multimedia and multiple platforms. Internal liaison occurs with all internal departments, while external liaison involves third-party suppliers.

Qualifications, Skills, and Work Experience :

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Journalism, or Advertising
  • Essential: 3 years’ experience as a Digital Marketer
  • Essential: Experience with B2C social media, Google AdWords, email campaigns, SEO/SEM, and Growth hacking
  • Essential: Experience with Facebook Ad Manager
  • Essential: Experience using Content Management Systems
  • Knowledge of online advertising platforms (Google qualified & industry-related qualifications like HubSpot, Hootsuite, Facebook Blueprint)
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools (DART, DoubleClick)
  • Knowledge of marketing & communication processes and social media platforms
  • Technical knowledge of reporting across multiple media platforms

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • To build online brand awareness to drive sales.
  • Create and optimize online adverts via Google AdWords, Facebook, and other platforms to increase brand awareness and sales.
  • Engage in SEO efforts including content, keywords, and image optimization.
  • Implement UTM tags or similar tracking on all advertising materials.
  • Generate innovative ideas to reinforce marketing campaigns across digital channels.
  • To develop engaging content for online platforms
  • Translate media plans into digital campaigns with proper targeting, budgets, and objectives.
  • Manage content strategy, including copywriting and website updates.
  • Write engaging, shareable content for social media, websites, and emails.
  • Create relevant and well-researched content, and prepare newsletters and promotional emails.
  • Monitor and grow online presence on social media and websites.
  • Stay updated on online marketing trends and optimize strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with designers and suppliers to improve user experience.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on digital marketing performance using analytics tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.
  • Design artwork for digital posts and other company needs.
  • Provide regular performance reports and manage personal professional development.
