Digital Marketing and Social Media Officer Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature Fixed Term

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Communicating the Party's message through digital media, social media, and other legislative content.
• Producing designs and video material aligned to the Party's message.
• Producing graphics aligned to the Party's message.
• Driving the Party's political message in the media within the Party and to the public more broadly.

Requirements

Minimum requirements:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications and/or Digital Marketing.
• 3 years experience in a similar role.
• 2 years experience in media and social media monitoring.
• 2 years experience in creative design (Adobe Design Suite).
• Experience in drafting and dissemination of written communication for external purposes.
• Computer literacy particularly MS Office Suite.
• Valid driver's licence.

Skills:

• Written and verbal communication.
• Time management and organisation.
• Administration and attention to detail.
• Copywriting, graphic design, and video conceptualisation.

Abilities:

• Identify and extract information from traditional media statements for amplification on social media channels.
• Use initiative and work well in high-pressure situations.

• Apply sound judgement.

• Willingness to go the extra mile, which may include working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessary.
