Firewater, a JHB-based digital marketing agency, is looking for a Digital Marketer & Social Media Manager superstar with a keen eye for detail and a love for all things digital.

We seek someone who uses the internet beyond selfies, hashtags, and trolling.

They should be capable of creating, measuring, continually improving, and educating those around them. You need to be well-connected with platforms like Facebook, Google, TikTok, X (Twitter), and others, with a finger on the pulse of the latest social, SEM, and digital marketing trends.

Job responsibilities
  1. Developing content strategy & creation in collaboration with the team
  2. Monitoring and managing multiple social media accounts daily
  3. Scheduling social media posts accurately and promptly according to the content calendar
  4. Engaging with audiences across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube, Pinterest) in line with brand tone and guidelines
  5. Building content calendars aligned with social media best practices
  6. Utilising social media management tools (Sociality, Business Manager, Agorapulse)
  7. Implementing paid media strategies and managing campaigns (Google, Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok)
  8. Managing social advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager
  9. Working with Google Analytics and other reporting tools
Job requirements
  • Over three years of relevant experience in social / digital marketing
  • Exceptional attention to detail and aesthetics, down to the last pixel
  • Good understanding of SEO and tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, GTMetrics, Google Suite
  • Driven and motivated to complete tasks efficiently
  • Excellent English grammar and spelling; additional language skills are a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Client-focused attitude
  • Autonomous yet collaborative work style
  • Previous agency experience is advantageous
  • Experience working with content creators and influencers is a plus

This position is hybrid, requiring some days at our Sandton office.
