Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Digital Communications Specialist to join their fully remote team in South Africa. You will craft and execute digital strategies to grow online presence, engage audiences, and drive measurable results.

You will manage social channels, optimize content, lead SEO and content marketing, and analyze performance with Google Analytics and other tools. A remote-friendly culture emphasizes autonomy and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in digital communications, social media management, or online PR.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective digital marketing campaigns.
• Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills, tailored for digital platforms.
• Proficiency in SEO, SEM, content marketing and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, SEMrush).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• A strong portfolio showcasing successful digital campaigns and content is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging and shareable digital content, including blog posts, website copy, social media updates, and infographics.

• Monitor online conversations, respond to comments and inquiries, and manage online community engagement.
• Analyze digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights, providing regular reports.
• Collaborate with the broader PR and marketing teams to ensure integrated campaign execution.
• Identify and engage with online influencers and digital media outlets.
• Manage paid digital advertising campaigns (e.g., social media ads, search ads) to support communication goals.
