Digital Accountant

We are looking for a Digital Accountant with 5 years of working experience in an Audit and Accounting Firm.

Qualifications & Experience required:

1. National Senior Certificate
2. BCom Accounting Degree
3. Completed SAIPA articles (advantageous)
4. At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting in a professional firm (experience an advantage)
5. Fully computer literate on:

• Xero Accounting
• PaySpace / SimplePay
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• SARS Efiling

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Writing up books to balance sheet
2. Drafting financials in Caseware (an advantage)
3. Compilations
4. Debtors, including capturing and reconciling
5. Creditors, including capturing and reconciling
6. Bank statement and recon, including credit and petrol cards
7. Payroll/payslips, and EMP and EMP submissions
8. Review and audits from SARS
9. VAT calculations and VAT returns
10. Knowledge on UIF
11. Knowledge on WCA
12. Fixed asset calculation and depreciation
13. Journal posting
14. Monthly management accounts, budget and cashflow preparation
