Job Summary:
Responsible for cooking, baking, and preparing foods as directed, and in accordance with therapeutic diet principles. Responsible for assisting in preparing cold prep items, salads, and desserts, as well as cooking meals for patients and visitors.
Maintains the cleanliness and sanitization of all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment parts in a timely manner.
Stocking, dating, labeling of supplies.
Performs essential duties to prepare foods for hospital patients, staff, and visitors.
Reports to Dietary Supervisor.
Position Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred but not required. Previous experience in health care or institutional food preparation preferred. Food Handlers' Certification required within 3 months of hire. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Have ability to calculate measurements in recipes to increase or decrease servings.
