Job summary

Kabstrading Co in Durban seeks an experienced diesel technician to support the Workshop Foreman. You will ensure high workmanship standards, manage your workload, and accurately record hours and parts used.

The role requires Matric, 5 years of workshop experience, a Code 14 license with PDP, and a Diesel Trade Test. You will work with the Parts Department, follow safety rules, and mentor apprentices.

Qualifications

• Matric with a minimum pass.
• Minimum 5 years commercial workshop experience as a technician.
• Code 14 license with valid PDP and Diesel Trade Test completed.
• Technical expertise and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide constructive support to the Workshop Foreman and ensure effective communication within the department.
• Record all hours worked and billed accurately.
• Ensure PPE, appearance, and professional conduct at all times.
• Keep the service vehicle clean, organized, and presentable.
• Record lubricants, parts, and consumables on the job card.
• Foster strong relationships with the Parts Department and mentor apprentices.
