A well-established franchised motor dealership in Potchefstroom is looking for a qualified Hino Truck Technician to produce the required labour hours through maintenance and repair work, in line with the company’s quality and efficiency standards. The role suits a hands-on technician who finds faults quickly, communicates clearly and follows procedures carefully to give customers excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a fault-finding and systems diagnostic service on Hino trucks to aid and speed the work of mechanics
• Carry out maintenance and repair work to company quality and efficiency standards
• Produce the required labour hours
• Complete all forms and documentation in the company’s service routine
• Draft and prepare any reports required
• Maintain effective liaison with the Service Foreman
• Ensure all instructions to mechanics are clear and understood
• Communicate clearly with customers and fully answer any queries raised
• Ensure excellent customer service by following procedures and processes carefully

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / N3 or higher
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to read all relevant measuring equipment
• Knowledge and skills to carry out correct repair work
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications and put them into practice
• Able to speak, read and write English
• Clean criminal record

Advantageous

• Toyota or Hino technical training and certifications
• Diesel / heavy commercial vehicle experience
• Lives in or near Potchefstroom, or willing to relocate
