Job summary

Staff Solutions Recruitment is seeking an experienced workshop technician in South Africa. The role requires a Code 14 license with PDP, five years of workshop experience, and a diesel trade test.

You will support the Workshop Foreman, maintain high workmanship standards, and ensure accurate recording of hours, parts, and consumables. You will work on breakdowns and normal duties, wear PPE, and uphold safety and quality policies while mentoring apprentices and ensuring timely, professional

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Minimum 5 years commercial workshop experience as a technician.
• Code 14 License with valid PDP.
• Diesel Trade Test Completed.
• Technical expertise and understanding expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide constructive support to the Workshop Foreman and ensure effective communication within the department.
• Demonstrate exemplary task performance and a high standard of workmanship.
• Manage workload efficiently and take responsibility for quality and timeliness.
• Accurately record all hours worked and billed.
• Record lubricants, parts, and consumables on the job card per procedures and adapt to changes.
• Foster strong relations with the Parts Department and ensure quality standards are met.
• Participate in training and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Wear PPE and maintain professional appearance during breakdowns.
