Job Purpose:

To inspect, diagnose, repair, service, and maintain heavy-duty diesel-powered trucks and trailers according to manufacturer and safety standards.

? Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
  • Service and repair trucks (e.g., Freightliner, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Mercedes-Benz).
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled services.
  • Perform safety inspections and roadworthiness checks.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to assess and fix problems.
  • Maintain accurate service records and job cards.
  • Follow health and safety protocols and workplace procedures.
  • Liaise with workshop managers, parts departments, and sometimes clients.
