We are seeking a dependable and technically skilled Diesel Mechanic to join a reputable UD/FAW dealership workshop.

The successful candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, hands‑on repair experience, and the ability to work efficiently within a structured, high‑performing workshop environment.

Salary: R17 000 – R22 000 + Commission + Medical aid + Pension fund + 13th cheque.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, service, and repair UD & FAW trucks
  • Conduct maintenance and fault-finding to OEM standards
  • Complete job cards accurately and timeously
  • Perform vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs
  • Assist with breakdowns when required
  • Maintain productivity and meet efficiency targets
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team

Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Diesel Mechanic Trade Test (essential)
  • Master Technician or Auto Electrical certification (advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience “on the bench” at a franchised dealership
