Job summary

The Key Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic for a well-established manufacturing plant near Piet Retief (Mkhondo), Mpumalanga. The role covers planned, unscheduled and breakdown maintenance of diesel and petrol vehicles and machines, with responsibility for supervising a repair shop and standby duties.

You must be trade-tested, with at least five years of heavy industry maintenance experience, a Code EC license, Grade 12 with Mathematics, and proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Trade certification as a Diesel Mechanic is required.
• Minimum 5 years of heavy industry maintenance experience.
• Valid EC driving license.
• Grade 12 with Mathematics required.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment inspections and ensure daily work activities are executed effectively.
• Supervise repair shop.
• Ensure effective performance of workshop team and subordinates.
• Comply with production and safety procedures.
• Comply with Quality Management Systems, company policies and OHSA.

Job description

Well-established manufacturing company is looking to employ a Diesel Mechanic at their plant near Piet Retief (Mkhondo), Mpumalanga. You will be responsible to carry out skilled diesel and petrol vehicle and machines planned, unscheduled and breakdown maintenance, as well as project work on the site. Also, to supervise a repair shop and to carry out standby duties as required

For the position you would be required to have:

• Grade 12 with core Mathematics.
• Minimum of N3 in Mechanical Engineering
• MUST BE TRADE TESTED DIESEL MECHANIC
• At least 5 years’ motor mechanic maintenance in a heavy industry factory.
• Unendorsed Code EC vehicle license.
• Computer literate in Microsoft 365 suite.
• Ability to communicate in English competently.
• Clear criminal record.

Responsibilities would include you to:
