Diesel Mechanic

Hire Resolve’s Client are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their mining operation in Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a fleet of heavy-duty diesel vehicles and equipment used in our mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining equipment maintenance and repair, as well as a solid understanding of diesel engines.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel vehicles and mining equipment.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
3. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all equipment.
4. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
5. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
6. Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and equipment.
7. Assist in training and mentoring junior mechanics.

Qualifications:

1. Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanics and Grade 12.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic in a mining environment.
3. Solid knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
4. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: R800k – R700k
