Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience working with heavy-duty commercial trucks.
  • Proficient in fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair of diesel engines and vehicle systems.
  • Valid driver’s licence (Code 14/EC licence is advantageous).

Role Overview

As a Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and repairing faults on diesel-powered trucks. Your expertise will help ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in diesel trucks and trailers.
  • Perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to engines, braking systems, gearboxes, and suspension.
  • Maintain accurate records of work done, parts used, and issues identified.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and legal regulations.
  • Work closely with the fleet and operations team to prioritise urgent repairs.
