The ideal candidate holds MSc or PhD in a related field with gemology specialization, international gemological credentials (GIA/HRD), and at least 10 years in diamond mineralogy and market valuation.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in mineralogy/geology with gemology specialization.
• Min 10 years in diamond mineralogy, analysis and valuation.
• GIA/HRD gemological qualifications are essential.
• Experience identifying synthetics and treatments in diamonds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the diamond mineralogy and valuation laboratory operations.
• Oversee systematic analysis and grading of rough diamonds based on carat, cut, color, and clarity.
• Develop and implement advanced mineralogical and gemological testing methods.
• Mentor a team of mineralogists, gemologists, and lab technicians.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of diamond valuations and reports.
