MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure compliance with Pharmacy practice standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. Provide specialist support to hospital pharmacies.
2. Manage and mitigate functional risks.
3. Coordinate training for Pharmacy support personnel.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: BPharm or equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years working in a private hospital pharmacy environment in a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager capacity with in-depth knowledge of current legislation related to Pharmacy.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Relevant Pharmacy legislation, coordination of training programmes for Pharmacy support personnel, project coordination, and Good Pharmacy Practice.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

1. Pharmacy-related processes and procedures.
2. Understanding of the Pharmacist, Pharmacist Intern, and Pharmacy Support Personnel scope of practice.
3. Structure and compilation of pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs).
4. Pharmacy relevant statutory requirements and regulations.
5. Cost containment initiatives (e.g., CPE, ARM's), medical aid rules.
6. Systems (AS, Medi.Data, Retail system, Webi).
