DIABETES CASE MANAGER
ROODEPOORT

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Constant & ongoing development of the Disease Management Programme
Reduction of risk by facilitating treatment authorization

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

1. Production of educational material and dissemination to patients
2. Retrospective review of related claims
3. Developing and maintaining clinical protocols including new drug reviews
4. Working with other healthcare personnel within the organisation
5. Liaising with pharmaceutical companies
6. Compilation of monthly reports detailing programme progress and areas of cost containment
7. To keep abreast of benefit changes
8. To develop and deliver educational presentations to employer groups.
9. Other ad-hoc duties

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

1. Min 1 to 2 years' experience in managed healthcare, working as a Diabetic Nurse Educator
2. Registered Nurse
3. Diabetic Educator Course ESSENTIAL
