Are you passionate about fresh produce and ready to take on a key procurement role within a dynamic Retail / FMCG company?

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Fresh Produce Buyer for their branch in Centurion, to oversee the sourcing and procurement of high-quality fruits and vegetables.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. A commercial Tertiary qualification.
2. Extensive knowledge of fresh produce, particularly fruits and vegetables, and their procurement processes.
3. A valid driver's license.
4. Namibian Citizen.
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills with suppliers.
6. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute procurement plans in collaboration with the National Buyer.
2. Communicate daily with suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, delivery schedules, and promotions.
3. Ensure timely placement of daily orders based on growing program needs and store demand.
4. Monitor stock levels and product quality in the distribution center (DC).
5. Maintain appropriate levels of packaging stock and ensure stock quality.
6. Verify invoices and goods received (GRVs) for accurate pricing and quantities.
7. Record daily intake and track slot times for products / suppliers.
8. Adhere to company buying and trading procedures.
9. Perform additional administrative duties related to trading.
