We are looking for a proactive and strategic DevOps Lead to spearhead the continuous improvement of our software development lifecycle, quality assurance practices, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence. This hands-on leadership role is pivotal in bridging the gap between development and IT operations—driving automation, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring compliance across both vendor-sourced and internally developed solutions. Job Description
Leadership & Strategy - Define and implement DevOps best practices to foster a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Align DevOps initiatives with business objectives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with D evelopment, O perations, Q uality Assurance , S ecurity, and R isk T eams to streamline and improve system integration.
- Act as a liaison to ensure alignment across technical and business teams .
Monitoring & Performance Optimization - Establish and maintain robust monitoring systems to ensure application reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Implement observability tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, CloudWatch or Datadog.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting - Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
Cloud & Infrastructure Management - Optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for cost-efficiency, high availability, and security.
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code ( IaC ) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Security & Compliance - Integrate DevSecOps principles into the development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, vulnerability management, and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement - Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and system resilience.
Required Experience & Skills
Technical Expertise - Proven experience in DevOps leadership, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle , agile methodologies and quality assurance practices .
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Monitoring & Resilience - Experience implementing and managing logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Ability to lead disaster recovery planning and execution.
Security & Compliance - Strong understanding of DevSecOps , vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.
Leadership & Soft Skills - Team Leadership : Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow high-performing DevOps teams.
- Strategic Thinking : Ability to align DevOps practices with broader business goals.
- Collaboration : Skilled in bridging gaps between development, operations, and security teams.
- Problem Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments.
- Process Optimization : Passion for continuous improvement and workflow automation.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing DevOps teams and delivering scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions.
