Manage and prioritize IT Systems Development tasks through the effective deployment of resources and workload allocation.
Lead a team of system developers to drive innovation and ensure that Business IT Systems requirements are sufficiently developed and adhered to.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Application Software Roadmap: Define and maintain a roadmap to facilitate application software development and prioritize work aligned with business requirements.
- Solutions Analysis: Develop innovative solutions by integrating and analyzing complex and diverse information sources.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with relevant business and IT stakeholders. Identify their needs and concerns, and develop engagement plans to communicate effectively and support decision-making.
- Leadership and Direction: Communicate strategies and motivate the team to achieve business goals aligned with the organization's mission and values.
- Strategy Formation and Implementation: Develop tactical plans to optimize resources and assets within the department.
- Performance Management: Manage team performance, set objectives, and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure objectives are met.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources to analyze key themes and trends.
- Insights and Reporting: Design reporting strategies, execute complex reports, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Organizational Capability: Evaluate staff capabilities, identify gaps, and implement development activities.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor staff to build talent within the organization.
- Project Delivery: Plan and manage project delivery within the area of expertise, ensuring outcomes are achieved using appropriate methodologies.
- Application Software Development: Develop and improve applications to meet customer requirements, analyzing areas for enhancement.
- Personal Capability Building: Participate in development activities, pursue external accreditation if relevant, and stay updated on technology and industry best practices.
- Operational Compliance: Monitor and review performance to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Information Security: Implement security measures and monitor their performance, notifying experts of issues.
GENERAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 6+ years of Software & System Development experience using relevant technologies (Essential).
- Experience in Financial Insurance industry is advantageous.
MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE
- 3-6 years of experience in planning and managing resources to achieve objectives (Essential).
