Midlands Community College (MCC) is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead its fundraising, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement portfolio. The role involves securing grants and donor funding, cultivating strategic relationships with corporates, foundations, government, and community partners, and promoting MCC’s work in Early Childhood Development and STEM education. The successful candidate will strengthen MCC’s visibility, build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, and ensure long‑term financial sustainability to support the College’s growing impact across KwaZulu-Natal.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Development and Strategic Partnerships Manager will lead MCC’s fundraising and stakeholder engagement portfolio — securing grants and partnerships, managing donor relations, and strengthening the College’s visibility and impact. The role involves developing sustainable funding strategies, overseeing proposal and report preparation, and building relationships with corporates, foundations, government, and community partners to support MCC’s ECD and STEM education programmes. The position reports directly to the Director and forms part of the Senior Management Team.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional certification in fundraising development, marketing, communication or related field
  • 5-7 years proven fundraising success in SA non‑profit sector
  • Exceptional proposal writing and relationship management skills
  • Deep knowledge of South Africa’s CSI and philanthropic landscape
  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset
