Overview

Our client, with a footprint in Johannesburg, Kwazulu Natal and Cape Town is a multi-disciplinary organization, who also handle property investment and management. Their extensive commercial and industrial portfolio has positioned them as a prominent leader in their respective sectors.

To add capacity in their Gauteng team, they are appointing a Senior Project Manager. Working with the senior Development Manager, your primary focus will be on overseeing the development of large land banks that will house multiple industrial parks. You will help to ensure that projects are planned and packaged in the most optimal manner, and then have full oversight of the construction phase. Additionally, you will be involved in other large scale projects such as fitouts, extensive repairs / major maintenance overhauls including giving guidance to the facilities manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of large land banks that will house multiple industrial parks.
• Ensure projects are planned and packaged in the most optimal manner.
• Have full oversight of the construction phase.
• Contribute to other large-scale projects such as fitouts, extensive repairs / major maintenance overhauls, including guidance to the facilities manager.
• Oversee contractors, advise on procurement of resources and allocation.
• Report on project progress and ensure timely completion of projects and project phases.
• Engage from inception to completion on risk management, site safety plans, quality assurance, and stakeholder management.
