The project:

This is an opportunity to work with a professional team in South Africa.

Our growing digital centre of excellence team is responsible for enabling and enhancing project delivery through the development of digital tools, processes and reports that enable data-driven decision making.
As part of your role, you will interface with the Mace project team and occasionally stakeholders from other organisations, if working on a joint venture project or directly for a client. You will be part of the digital centre of excellence community, sharing knowledge and experience with other bi & data professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners and further develop your technical skill set.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Makes use of PnP PowerShell to create a site schema (columns, content types, Lists, views) and to automate different tasks.
  • Creates forms or other user interfaces using custom validation and list controls where appropriate.
  • Has expertise in controls, screens, collections and variable types.
  • Demonstrates some expertise in PowerFX formulas and functions.
  • Experience of integrating Power Apps with external services through custom connectors, REST APIs and web services.
  • Creates efficient flows by making use of industry best practices.
  • Makes effective use of advanced features such as error handling, parallel branches and conditions.
  • Knows and uses HTTP connectors, Parse JSON and dynamic expressions.
  • You will be expected to work with Microsoft Teams and the M365 Office suite. There is an opportunity to grow your role into other Microsoft product specialisms such as Power BI, Fabric and Copilot should you choose to, as well as other technologies supported by Mace.
  • Any knowledge or experience of supporting tools and technologies such as Python, JSON, JavaScript, Plumsail or Lists would be a benefit but is not a requirement.

You’ll need to have:

  • Be able to clearly articulate the pros and cons of different data capture tools, and help colleagues and project teams understand the value of well-structured data.
  • Recommend the best tools to meet the requirements and develop effective data capture portals that will underpin daily and periodic reporting activity.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle of digital assets on your project, including testing, deployment and handover.
  • Provide support to users and colleagues in relation to production assets.
  • Keep your knowledge of Power Platform and other relevant applications up to date by undertaking training and development, independently or as directed.
  • Understanding of working in a consultancy environment and management of stakeholders including clients, project managers and data owners.
