About (TI MIBI Team)

The TI Business Intelligence and Management Information teams focus is to analytically develop value adding reports and dashboards for the Technology Department from a variety of consolidated data sources, and provide support and advice to existing and new clients on how to show accurate reporting, trending and forecasting. They ensure that the manual work of compiling information for management presentation or operational benefit is automated and readily made available, as well as improve on existing automated reports / dashboards. The time saved through these initiatives can then be returned to the operational areas across the department while improving the visibility of metrics towards continued service improvement.

Key Purpose

The MIBI Junior Developer will report to the Associate Specialist.

With the assistance of the MIBI developer, you will investigate into what data sources will need to either be created, requested or re-used and if any new or additional views will need to be created.

Oversee the development of new projects once data access, views and the data integrity has been established, as well as all existing projects to ensure that everything is met accordingly to the request specifications.

This includes running with the assistance of the Associate Specialist / Senior Developer that all QA, follow ups, maintenance, UAT, signoffs, new ad hoc requests are monitored within the MIBI team.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

  • Ensure and track that all initiatives are logged within the ticket logging tool
  • Do all ad hoc development requests (3 hours or less).
  • Maintain / Update historic, new reports developed.
  • Provide support to the Associate Specialist / Senior Developer on large development projects.

Education and Experience

  • 2 + years’ experience in a report development environment
  • 2 + years SQL experience
  • 2 + years Reporting Services experience
  • 2 + years Advanced Excel and VB experience
  • 2 + years Advanced Power BI or Tableau experience
  • 2 + years Advanced SSRS
  • 1-2 + years Service Now reporting in Platform Analytics
