Role Context

Our UK Client operates a growing and interconnected technology landscape, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central at its core, integrated with a range of third‑party systems supporting logistics, retail operations, finance, merchandising and shipboard activities.

As an Integration Developer, you will be responsible for building, supporting and enhancing integrations between Business Central and external systems using Azure integration technologies. This is a hands‑on delivery role, working under the guidance of senior integration and platform leads.

Key Role Objectives and Accountabilities

Integration Development & Support

• Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and third‑party applications using Azure integration technologies.
• Develop data flows using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory and Power Automate.
• Implement data transformation, validation and mapping logic.
• Consume and publish data using Business Central APIs, OData and web services.
• Support data synchronisation, batch processing and near‑real‑time integrations.

Operational Support & Reliability

• Support integration services in production, responding to incidents and issues.
• Monitor integrations and assist with troubleshooting data or processing failures.
• Apply fixes and improvements under guidance from senior team members.
• Help maintain integration reliability, performance and data accuracy.

Delivery & Collaboration

• Work within agile delivery frameworks.
• Use Jira and/or Azure DevOps to manage work items and progress.
• Work closely with Business Central developers, functional consultants and senior integration developers.
• Work with external partners when required.

Documentation & Best Practice

• Contribute to technical documentation for integrations.
• Follow established integration standards, patterns and security practices.
• Actively learn and apply best practices for Azure‑based integrations.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Hands‑on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory or Power Automate.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML and API‑based integrations.

Business Central Integration Exposure

• Experience integrating with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or supporting BC‑related integrations.
• Familiarity with Business Central APIs, OData or web services.

Ways of Working & Tooling

• Experience working in agile delivery teams.
• Familiarity with Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts.

Advantageous Qualifications & Experience

• Exposure to Azure Service Bus or Event Grid.
• Experience integrating SaaS, retail, logistics or finance systems.
