Job summary

The Building Company in Malalane is seeking a Store Supervisor to ensure that goods despatched are attended to efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures. You will coordinate deliveries, maintain admin duties and lead a team to meet store objectives.

You will supervise forklift readiness, rosters, stock control and compliance with legal requirements, reporting discrepancies to management and promoting a harmonious workplace.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Technical qualification or Diploma required.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of relevant systems.

Responsibilities

• Effectively co-ordinating customer deliveries.
• Effectively maintain administrative functions.
• Inspire, motivate, guide, develop and manage, and lead employees to meet store objectives; apply policies to maintain harmony.
• Checking forklifts are ready to operate by inspecting oil, water and ports.
• Monitor and manage staff attendance.
• Ensure customers driving into yard are attended to.
• Ensure legal compliance with legislation relating to operation of the business.
• Report discrepancies to management immediately.
• Maintain staff roster for weekends and public holidays.
• Maintain and manage stock effectively and accurately.
• Physically check stock and delivery vehicles leaving the yard.
• Uphold and promote company values and culture.
