Job summary

RCL Foods is seeking a Despatch Supervisor based at Pretoria West Bakery in Gauteng. The role reports to the Despatch Clerk and focuses on coordinating daily dispatch activities, ensuring on-time truck departures and maintaining accurate despatch records.

The ideal candidate will have Matric, preferably a National Diploma, and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. The position requires overseeing staff, stock control, and customer service within the despatch department.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• National Diploma in related field would be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all trucks are dispatched timeously in the morning.
• Arranging replacements of dispatch staff where necessary.
• Ensuring that the dispatch team is always wearing uniform.
• Arranging internal distribution labour where necessary.
• Ensuring that the dispatch recon document is completed daily.
• Maintaining prescribed records of goods received and dispatched.
• Enhance excellent customer service in the despatch department.
• Reconcile/oversee despatch foreman recons daily.
• Ensure all data captured is correct.
• Verify production transfers daily and confirm returns to despatch.
• Balance despatch recons’ daily sales with van sheets daily sales per route.
• Count and record all returns to stock of all drivers on the return slip.
• Oversee stock variances and report to management.
