Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Dispatch & Warehouse Supervisor with experience in logistics, inventory management, and handling dangerous goods.

The role requires someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys developing team members, and aims to improve operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee dispatch activities, including packing, storing, and shipping hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
2. Ensure safety compliance and manage customs/export documentation.
3. Lead a warehouse team to meet delivery deadlines.
4. Manage courier tracking, third-party collections, and special delivery instructions.
5. Support inventory control, labeling, and waste segregation.
6. Improve workflows and maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment.
7. Train and develop team members, conduct regular performance reviews.
8. Handle HR administration such as holiday and absence management.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification (Matric / NQF Level 4 or equivalent), logistics / warehousing qualification a plus.
• Experience in Chemicals, FMCG, Distribution, or Supply Chain environments.
• Strong organizational and people management skills.
• Knowledge of handling and transporting dangerous / hazardous goods.
• Experience with inventory software and critical metric tracking.
• Proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to meet deadlines.
