Our client, market leader in the manufacturing / production industry is looking to hire a Despatch Manager, based North of Durban

The primary responsibility of the role is to manage and coordinate dispatch and transportation operations to guarantee the efficient and timely delivery of goods

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Oversee and guide outbound logistics teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Scheduling: Develop and manage workload schedules to guarantee timely deliveries and collections
• Customer Relations: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and foster positive relationships with clients
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and comply with all safety standards
• Problem-Solving: Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions
• Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, strictly adhering to SOPs across all dispatch processes. Conduct regular quality audits on outgoing customer orders
• Operational Efficiency: Manage departmental costs and expenditures to stay within budgetary limits
• High-Pressure Environment: Work effectively under tight deadlines in a demanding, high-volume warehouse setting

Education and Experience:

• Matric with relevant tertiary qualification
• 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in the print industry)
