Job description

Responsibilities

  • Windows Upgrade Rollout: Assist in the deployment of the latest Windows operating system across the organization. This includes preparing, configuring, and deploying new laptops.
  • Swapping Out Laptops: Facilitate the exchange process of old laptops with new ones equipped with the upgraded Windows OS.
  • Ensure data migration and integrity during the swap.
  • Provide first-level IT support to employees during and after the rollout process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure they are informed and comfortable with the changes.
  • Provide training and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of deployed systems, configurations, and support requests.
  • Document procedures and FAQs to aid the support team.
  • Track progress and provide regular updates to project managers.
  • Identify and escalate any issues that could affect the project timeline or quality.

Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are advantageous.
  • Previous experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and IT rollouts is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of network configurations and cybersecurity principles is a plus.
