Job description

Lebone Paarl Labels, based in Paarl, is currently seeking to recruit a DTP Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must have 5 - 8 years’ experience in the pre-press environment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Manage the DTP and prepress team and supervise the end-to-end production of proofs, plates and screen materials.
• Train and mentor, the development of DTP and prepress operators.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure seamless workflow planning within the department as well as between relevant departments to enable timeous, cost-effective, high-quality plates, proofs, epsons and other services to meet the press plan deadlines.
• To ensuring client satisfaction, meeting of production targets and quality standards.
• To ensure the availability of well-maintained equipment and the provision of a safe work environment.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Strong management, communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge
• Creative, with an eye for good design
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
• Workwell under pressure and deadlines
• Competent in Adobe software (InDesign, illustrator, photoshop and acrobat)
• A working knowledge of Prinergy will be advantageous

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in management development
• Electronic Origination or any similar qualification in the printing industry
• 5 to 8 years’ experience in the pre-press environment
• 3 – 5 years general experience in Flexo and Digital environment
