Job Description

An exciting position has arisen within the Foschini Division for a Pattern Designer. This individual will be responsible for designing ranges and working alongside a Design and Production team to ensure range availability in store. We are looking for a responsible, organized individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where the customer is the central focus of everything we do. The role involves guiding all steps of the pattern design process, from initial conception to final manufacturing processes across all commodities. A strong grasp of trend direction, fabrications, product relevance, and branding is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Create patterns on computer using Lectra and available references
• Liaise with designers on requirements
• Communicate with the Sample Room on requirements
• Measure garments
• Perform grading
• Attend fit sessions with designers
• Liaise with retail technologists
• Handle queries from factories

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Pattern Design or equivalent
• Proven competency in pattern making (3-5 years)
• Experience with the Lectra windows system is advantageous
