Main Responsibilities :
- Project Lead and Coordination : Manage the Airside Systems package in complex, multi-disciplinary aviation projects from inception to completion, leading diverse technical teams.
- Execute aviation projects successfully by meeting stakeholder expectations, maintaining commercial excellence, achieving quality outputs, and driving team cohesion and satisfaction.
- Budgetary and financial responsibility for aviation projects.
- Project tendering and preparation.
- Project resource management, including management of project resources over multiple locations.
- Business development and client liaison at project level.
- Growing and managing new and existing client relationships through quality project execution.
- Engage clients, determine their needs, qualify opportunities, develop custom solutions, and compile proposal documents.
- Contribute to strategic growth of the Aviation advisory group team.
- Other project and operational support as required.
As an Airside Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Apron Systems and Airfield Ground Lighting team, working with colleagues in Airport Asset Design.
Your background in electrical/electronic systems will support our Airfield Systems team and provide opportunities to develop your consultancy experience within the Aviation Profession.
Responsibilities include :
- Developing functional and technical designs for systems such as Visual Aids, Apron, and Electrical Systems, with responsibility for project deliverables.
- Developing Apron / AGL System input for airport master plans.
- Assisting on other Airport Systems as needed.
- Producing technical models and drawings using software like AutoCAD.
- Carrying out calculations for design reports, specifications, and bills of quantities.
- Collaborating within a BIM environment with multidisciplinary teams.
- Working as part of the design team and interacting with civil and other discipline designers.
- Sharing knowledge within the Aviation Team.
Minimum qualifications, skills, and experience :
- Electrical Engineering Degree (minimum requirement).
- Professional registration (ECSA and/or PMI).
- Post Graduate Project Management Qualification (beneficial).
- 8-10 years post-graduate experience.
- Experience in multidisciplinary design coordination, preferably in aviation projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D and Revit are advantageous.
- Stakeholder communication skills across project lifecycle.
- Experience in project acquisition, design, and execution, with strong communication skills.
- Report writing skills and strategic thinking.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure.
