Oxyon People Solutions is seeking an experienced draughtsman in Johannesburg, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 15 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.

This role involves product development, project management from start to finish, and maintaining effective communications between departments. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are essential.

Requirements

• Experience: 5 to 15 years.
• Qualifications: Relevant draughting qualification advantageous.
• Professional Registrations: Not required.
• Software: Microsoft Office (proficient) (Excel, Word, Outlook), Nesting Software (any but not critical), any 3D design package (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred).
• Proficient in both English and Afrikaans. (Crucial)
• Notice period: Not more than 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Reports to engineering manager.
• Product development and design.
• Take on complete projects from start to finish including special projects.
• Load distributions and general arrangement drawings.
• Assist in implementing drawing standards/processes/documentation etc.
• Maintain products/databases/standards/administration etc.
• Assist production and repair departments as needed.
• Create nestings for plasma from time to time.
• Assist with day-to-day requirements.
• Data capturing and filing.
• Bills of materials.
• Proper planning and time management. The successful candidate will be expected to function successfully on their own and must be a quick learner.
• Maintain good interdepartmental communications and relations.
• Other responsibilities may be added.

Candidates may need to do a test on AutoCAD and Inventor if they have experience on it.
