Job summary

Boogertman + Partners Architects is seeking a Design Architect in Stellenbosch. The role focuses on designing complex mixed-use commercial buildings, producing world-class designs, and presenting concepts to clients.

The candidate should hold an M.Arch, have at least 6 years postgrad experience, be SACAP registered, and proficient in Revit with strong graphic and 3D visualization skills. Willing to travel locally and internationally.

Qualifications

• Master in Architecture (M.Arch) required.
• Minimum 6 years’ postgrad experience.
• SACAP registered with valid status.
• Advanced in Revit; certification preferred.
• B+P Revit Assessment with at least 70% score.
• Freehand design/presentation capability preferred.
• Sketches to be produced in Revit.
• Intermediate Adobe Master Suite for graphic design.
• Intermediate 3D viz software for presentations.
• Knowledge of council documentation and submission process.
• Strong communication and client service focus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Plan workflow and resources to meet deadlines.
• Mentor team members and build project relationships.
• Urban Design qualification and/or UDISA membership is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities to include:

• Knowledge and experience in design of complex mixed use commercial buildings
• To produce world class designs of complex mixed use commercial buildings
• Attend design meetings with clients and consultants
• To produce high quality sketch illustrations depicting client brief accurately
• To assist with graphic design work for presentation purposes (Adobe suite/ Affinity Suite)
• To assist with 3D visualisation of project proposals (Enscape/hand sketches/Lumion/Other software)
• Produce concept work and design presentations accurate for costing and documentation purposes
• Must be willing to travel local and internationally

Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants:

• Master in Architecture (M.Arch)
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience (after Post grad)
• SACAP Registered
• Advanced in use of Revit (certification of such preferable)
• Complete B+P Revit Assessment with minimum 70% score
• Freehand Design/Presentation capability preferable.
• Sketches to be done in Revit
• Intermediate knowledge of the Adobe Master Suite for graphic design purposes
• Intermediate knowledge of 3D visualisation software for presentation purposes
• Intermediate knowledge and history of council documentation and submission process
• Good communication skills required.
